Before you go out and buy an 8 MPG Hummer on the recent price decline of crude, you may want to ask yourself a question: Will I be lucky again?

Dear Chrysler, Now that you are in your post-Daimler era, I’m glad that you have come to my humble blog for advice on who to partner up with next. I’m positive that it was because of my deft post yesterday that you chose Nissan as your new global partner with for a new generation of [...]

Ok, I will admit – I am not a huge fan of electric cars. My personal opinion is fuel cell is the way to go, but I am not adverse to any auto manufacturer willing to put their money where their accelerator pedal is.

I remember my first car loan. In 1980, I bought a 1978 Chevy Monza fastback for $2,800. Because it was a ‘Carter Era’ loan, it cost me $120 month for 36 months. (Thank you Dad for co-signing!) It got me to and fro for the next few years and I paid it off. It only [...]

I got my driver’s license in 1976. Americans had suffered with a Federally-mandated 55MPH speed limit for two years. The first [...]

(With apologies to ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat) If I remember my Bible story correctly, back in the day, Pharaoh and those crazy Egyptians were basking in the Mediterranean sun, having a grand old time. Only problem, Pharaoh was having some sleep issues and Ambien wasn’t invented yet. He had some crazy dreams [...]
