The cast of Jersey Shore is about to get some MTV stimulus. It’s reported that they are close to signing on for about $30,ooo per episode. That’s quite a far cry from the $5,000 they made in the first season.

So, as the Shore crew gets a raise, it looks like the unemployed in the country are getting an extension of their benefits to 2 1/2 years. The Senate passed the measure 60-40 and the bill may wind up on President Obama’s desk by week’s end.

As the Wall Street Journal said today in their Op-Ed on the Obama Administration, “If you can’t create any jobs, pay people not to work.”
