With all of the notably bad things that people remember about 2009, at least the homicide rate in New York City may hit an all time low since record were kept. This is a trend across the US.

In a related story, sales of guns and ammunition since the election of President Obama continues to rise with fears that the 2nd amendment to the Constitution may be re-interpreted.

As I heard often this past year, ‘If you want a safe, secure commodity to invest in, don’t buy gold – buy lead.’
