With his numbers on the decline, Barack Obama looks to salvage his first year in office by putting some points on the board. Bragging that you spent $1.4 trillion more than the country took in is not the thing you want voters to remember in the mid term elections in 2010.

He gives himself a B+. Maybe he was grading on a curve.
