The phrase ‘pot calling the kettle black’ is becoming shopworn these days.

Chris Dodd (D-CT)
Barney Frank (D-MA)
Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
Franklin Raines & Jim Johnson (Obama advisers)
…to name a few

Do we really believe that Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) will subpoena any of the above to testify on the Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac meltdown earlier this year? There’s a greater chance that Al Gore will give his Nobel Prize back.

The Bush Adlinistration, Sen John McCain and other Republicans attempted to rein Fannie & Freddie in – most recently in 2006 – and were met with objections from the men on the list. Now, Sen. Dodd and Rep. Frank are pounding their gavels at these bailout hearings and lambasting the Big 3 CEOs about how derelict they were in their duties. Holy crap, Batman – what gall!

I’m sure that now Rep. Waxman has the DC Trifecta (Democrat WH, Senate and House), we are in for a lot of committee hearings.
