In the ‘new’ news, the New York Times is looking to mortgage their mid-Manhattan digs for an estimated $225 million. The Tribune company is mulling bankruptcy – like sometime this week! And to top it off, the Miami Herald is for sale.

On today’s show, I commented that the real value to the eventual buyer of the Miami Herald, is their waterfront property. Let me get this straight – you buy real estate and they throw in a major newspaper?? How the once-mighty have fallen.

A note to the remaining Legacy Media: serve your readers or they might buy you at the bankruptcy sale.
