I heard our President that the bailout of Wall Street was necessary.

I heard Secretary Paulson echo that.

The Senate – including Senators McCain and Obama – voted 3-to-1 to adopt the bailout.

The U.S. Government (i.e. you an I) is directly investing in US banks. The main cheerleaders from abroad include Castro, Khamenei and Chavez. Yeah, they love the fact that socialism has replaced the greed of capitalism.

That’s the first sign that I know socialism a BAD thing. I look at its supporters.

Actually, we don’t need socialism. We need capitalism, but with rules and enforced by a government with a pair of balls who is looking out for our citizens. Socialism is our easiest ticket to our destruction. (Read my post of yesterday ‘I AM Joe the Plumber’) Socialism is a race to the bottom. Let me illustrate.

Not even one year old, Hawaii’s universal child healthcare program will be shut down on 1 November 2008. Since its inception, over 2000 children have been enrolled. However, parents who could otherwise afford coverage signed up to get the free benefits. After all, why pay for something that is given to you at no cost? Socialism kills the incentive to do better. Do not misunderstand me – I am all for help for those truly in need – but to offer universal healthcare to all benefits no one, especially the ones who need the help most.

Sorry for being anti-social, but Fidel, Hugo and Ali – you can keep your socialism. I’ll take the odds any day.
