When You Print Money, It’s Called Counterfeiting
When they do it, it’s called a ‘stimulus package’
There are bailouts all over the place these days numbering in the tens to hundreds of billions of dollars each. The word billion is as common as a grain of rice in a 5-pound bag. Now, we find ourselves in the ‘trillion’ category, when you count the efforts of the countries around the world. You would think that all of this bailout money was coming to an end. Think again.
The hubris of the Democrat leadership, banking big on an Obama win, have led them to plan on recalling the House and Senate to pass another $150 billion in consumer bailouts. Where, for the love of Pete, is this money coming from? You guessed it: the print shop of the Treasury. Yep, the government doesn’t need money to give it out – they just print more when they run out.
I have heard dozens of times in the past few weeks that the cause of the financial crisis has been cheap money. We should used more discretion with our money.
Let me see if I get this straight – the government makes the money cheap and easy to borrow (even if you can’t pay it back), the consumers overspend and the government comes back and tells us ‘you shouldn’t have done that!’ Oh please!
Not only is Speaker Pelosi counting her chickens too soon, she wants to buy more votes for the House seats the Dems want to keep or take from the Republicans. Ms. Speaker – may I remind you that rampant, deficit spending is what got us into this mess in the first place.
