Gloomy Times In Iran
If we equate supply and demand in oil and terrorism, the Iranian government must be faced with quite an conundrum.
Now that control of the Anbar province has been turned-over to the Iraqis, I’m sure they will call for a cut in the terrorists they are exporting to Iraq. After all, as crude flirts with $100/bbl, Iran and Venezuela are locking arms to defend $100 oil by cutting production.
Are the anti-drilling zealots here in the States taking notes? Or, are they going to call out in unison ‘Save Iran and Venezuela…keep high-priced oil legal!!’.
In my local legacy, carbon-based media, The Bergen Record, they have gone to the extreme that $4/gallon gas is good for us! Will someone rescue me from this bizarre-o-land, parallel universe!!
Until we get serious about our own energy independence, headlines like these will continue to rattle markets and the purses of American consumers.
