An Open Invitation to the Candidates
To: Senator Obama, Senator McCain and any candidate for the Senate or House of Representatives
From: The Armchair Energist
The number one topic on the voter’s minds these days is the increasing cost of energy. More than the Iraq war, more than uninsured citizens (my apology to the people who view these topics, and many others, as being more important…you may want to see another blog to discuss them.)
With that in mind, I am inviting all of you to send me an email of any length, to discuss your opinion or specific plan on combating energy issues here in the United States. We are used to hearing the ‘plan of the day’ from candidates, but here at TAE, I offer a way that you can say your piece or give a detailed plan – however you see fit.
A note to my New Jersey readers: Here in Northern NJ, we have a choice between incumbent Frank Lautenberg (D) and Dick Zimmer (R) for Senate and incumbent Scott Garrett (R) and Dennis Schulman (D) for the House of Representatives. Please encourage our candidates to accept my invitation and send me their position.
I thank you candidates in advance for your submissions. Your contribution to the energy debate is appreciated by all that you wish to serve.
Thanks for your consideration!
The Armchair Energist
